About Us

Toledo Cheese Depot was established in 2025 by owners Kyle & Matt Wheeler. After moving to the area in 2016, the Wheelers came to appreciate the annual Cheese Days Festival, a community tradition reminiscent of the annual “Doo Dah Parade” in the small town where Kyle grew up.

Seeing the 'kids of the community' making their annual return to celebrate Toledo's beloved cheese carnival every year, some of them now with lives decades and continents away, the Wheelers joked that one day there needed to be a cheesy little store that would not only honor Toledo's local history but would also provide a curated selection of delicious cheeses everyone yearns for long after the cheese factories Toledo's annual celebration were based upon closed their doors.

By 2025 the Wheelers thought the idea had been brought up enough that it had finally aged to perfection and Toledo Cheese Depot was unwrapped!
